The Lab of the Future, Today: IoT Success in Life Science R&D

Session Description

Many entrepreneurs have balked at the thought of building IoT solutions for fragmented markets, like life sciences. We saw opportunity. While doing research at Harvard, I had a eureka moment: There had to be a more efficient way to run experiments and manage experimental data. I realized IoT could be the answer. My co-founders and I launched TetraScience to connect the ecosystem that supports science and speed the path to scientific discovery. In this session I will tell our story but also delve into some compelling customer use cases: • With new data analytics, a lab ops team found a way to decrease capital equipment budget by 10% and servicing by 13% for ROI of 29x within 3 months. • By using cloud-connectivity, a $3M experiment was saved - and resulted in a life-saving drug getting to market faster.
