Upstream Model Driven DFM and Cost Analysis: A Step Towards the Digital Enterprise

Session Description

With ever growing competition, organizations are figuring out ways to succeed in the marketplace. To ensure that they succeed, it is important to bring new, innovative, good quality products out in the market before the competition and at acceptable prices. One of the ways of to contribute in achieving this objective in a New Product Development process is to be track, manage and reduce the high impact DFM, DFA issues which eat into schedule and cost plans. Having a seamless digital thread helps organizations track designs right from concept to the shop floor and into the hands of the customer. There are many software which contribute to creating and empowering this digital thread. One of them is a software which helps you avoid design to manufacturing iterations, collaborate effectively with the supply chain and know your product costs upfront so that design decisions can be taken in a cognizant manner. In this session, we will see how this concept can be made a reality and how organizations can take a step towards building the digital thread and the digital factory of the future using an enterprise wide MBD and DFM initiative supported by the right software.
