Daniel founded Vecna in 1999 with the mission to empower humanity through transformative technologies. With the guiding philosophy that automation is the key to developing a more sustainable and equitable future, Daniel has worked with several renowned institutions to develop automation solutions across a number of industries. Daniel was the driving force behind founding MassRobotics, an organization dedicated to bringing together innovative startups and existing technology organizations to nurture the next generation of talent and promote economic growth and innovation. Daniel has designed and developed autonomous mobile robots for use in healthcare, education, logistics, agriculture, and transportation. His robotics platforms incorporate machine perception, autonomous navigation, manipulation, multiple agent coordination, and innovative human-robot interfaces. These technologies combined improve safety and productivity while revolutionizing the customer experience. Daniel graduated at the top of his class at MIT where he worked on the Mars Rover program. Daniel speaks regularly at industry meetings and conferences.
