Kathleen Mitford

EVP, Segments, PTC

Presenter Bio

Kathleen Mitford is Executive Vice President, Segments, at PTC. In this role Kathleen is responsible for researching market opportunities and developing highly aligned and innovative product plans across both the ThingWorx Platform as well as the CAD/PLM/ALM/MFG/SLM solution offerings. During Kathleen’s career at PTC she has held multiple strategic roles leading the segments, market research, competitive strategy and vertical teams. Kathleen recently transitioned from the role of General Manager, Products in the IoT Solutions Group, responsible for the leadership and strategy of PTC’s Digital Engineering, Manufacturing and Service Offerings. She previously served as Corporate Vice President of Strategy, where she was a driving force in PTC's Internet of Things (IoT) Strategy. She joined PTC in 2006 to drive the retail strategy and developed technologies and systems adopted by major retail chains. As a result, PTC became the industry leader in retail PLM and maintains that leadership market share position today. It also allowed PTC to enter a completely new industry from the company’s traditional engineering and manufacturing heritage. As PTC heads to the Internet of Things and Augmented Reality, Kathleen’s ability to identify opportunities and threats along with strengths and weakness positions PTC’s Business Segments at a distinct advantage. Kathleen attended the Philadelphia University in Philadelphia, PA, where she earned a bachelor of science.
