Ross Scott is the IT Director of the PDM Solution Center for Raytheon Global Business Services (GBS). Raytheon Company, with 2016 sales of $24 billion and 63,000 employees, is a technology and innovation leader specializing in defense, civil government and cybersecurity solutions. Ross began his career at Raytheon in 1999 as a software engineer, performing engineering automation for Raytheon’s hardware engineering directorates. In 2002, Ross joined the newly formed Common Product Data Management (PDM) initiative – a company-wide initiative to create a single instance engineering data management system with common processes that enables a “design anywhere” capability for Raytheon’s 30,000 engineers. Over the next 6 years, Ross held various positions of increasing technical and management responsibility on the Common PDM program including Development IPT Lead and Chief Engineer as he architected and implemented one of the largest single PDM deployments in the world. In 2009, Ross took over as the program manager for the Common PDM program where he was responsible for the successful implementation of Common PDM at Raytheon’s Integrated Defense Systems (IDS). Ross and his team were recognized with the Raytheon IDS President’s award for their success in this strategic initiative.
